Visual Arts

Introduction

Visual Arts is a core subject in the field of arts education. This is a required subject for F.1 to F.3 students in our school. Additionally, there is an elective Visual Arts subject in senior form that focuses on art appreciation and artistic creation, providing deeper opportunities for art studies in preparation for the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) examination. Furthermore, arts education enriches the “Other Learning Experiences” and “Arts Development” areas for senior form students. They can participate in related activities organized by the Arts Education Development Group to prepare for further studies and career development in the future.

Goals

The Visual Arts subject aims to create a diverse artistic atmosphere in school, which provides students with rich arts experiences and value education. The curriculum is designed to focus on developing essential skills in students, like creativity and problem-solving. Moreover, by taking part in various art visits and competitions, students can broaden their horizons and boost their interest in learning. On top of that, beautifying the campus gives students more chances to engage with art and helps to create a positive environment.
